(WASHINGTON, DC) -The M.I. Mother’s Keeper Mental Health Advocacy organization whose programs, outreach, and campaigns of awareness have helped countless families across the District of Columbia, and Prince George’s County, since 2016, with navigating mental health challenges, diagnoses, service linkage, resources, & education, invite you to join in the Celebration of Life & Homegoing for their matriarch and the heart of their organization, Ms. Regina Catherine Fleming, a District of Columbia resident. 

     Ms. Fleming’s grace, courage, and bravery have helped to define and impact the intentional work of the M.I. Mother’s Keeper organization to ensure that comprehensive, culturally appropriate, and complete systems of mental health and trauma induced care are made available for all District citizens.  Ms. Fleming has endured over 40(+) years in D.C.’s mental & behavioral health systems with less than adequate care which also systematically lacks higher standards for lower income and poorer citizens.  

     The M.I. Mother’s Keeper organization, in Ms. Fleming’s honor and  namesake intends to continue the work that our leadership coalition is spearheading in helping the District with delivering a higher quality of living for our dear citizens of mental health and homelessness who continue to receive stigma-based care in systems that are rife with unacceptable professionalisms and seemingly little to no oversight.

     Enough is enough! Mental health does matter and always will.  Our beautiful Ms. Regina C. Fleming will forever be remembered and memorialized through the continuance of our work and the Spring 2023 realization and deliverance of the state of the art,
